The man who keeps me breathing

is at the other end of the line.

He writes the most astonishing letters

I feel more like a woman in each and every line.

He writes of wonderful moments when he and I  will meet

Ride off into the sunset on the stallion Phantom to complete.

A moment once remembered when he and I could greet

The fresh new dawn of a new day, challenges to defeat.

I dream, of such moments when you will enter the frey

Take my hand as I mount your stallion,

and take me far away.

I dream and dream of that very day.

Hi Colette !!

Very nice..... Passionate and heartwarming !!!

An enjoyable read, thanks for sharing,

Kind regards,

Steve.

What cannot letters inspire

They have souls

they can speak

they have in them all that force

which expresses the transports

of the heart

they have all the fires

of our passions…

Letter of Héloïse to Abelard, 12th century

These words of Heloise to Abelard back in the 12th century still ring true as they do in your passionate and wistful poem.

Take my hand Collette…

Sorry for the delay, I never received an indication of any reviews coming in.

Susanne and Amy, who said love letters are a pleasure of the past, they are stampless now electronic.

How do I tease this person to print on line? his beautiful words of love...

Have you any ideas?

Colette

Hi Steve,

I am a romantic but wish I were a poet.  Thank you for taking the time to read and reply.

Colette

You offer me your hand but I need your heart Anam Chara

Collette,

If you could touch my heart

It would burn your Soul

So full of passion

It is for you …

Your Anam Chara

Being the Irish woman that I am, I say "what am I going to do with ya!"  Will we ever write that book!? In the meantime, Hey Ho Silver!

Keep writing my Anam Chara

I wish I could express myself as well as Spuds (Graham) does ... so I'll have to be content with wishing I was the subject of the above ...

And as an Irish-American (third generation) ... I think all Irish lassies are sexy ...

Good stuff ... mi amiga ... (I don't know any Gallic)

Yellowhair1850 do I need to bark at ya before you tell me your name.

Spuds (Graham) is one hell of a writer and so are you, if I may say so.  I only dabble as you can see.

As for Galic (Irish) us Irish rarely speak our native tongue, and it is a bit of a shame, we begrudgingly learn basic Irish in school and forget it a.s.a.p.  However, if you were to raise a glass or sign off you would say SLAINTE!

Slainte,

Colette

So Galic is with one "L" ... and I wish you would bark at me ... I think it would be sexy ... (at my age I think everything is sexy ...)

I thought you knew ... they call me Billy when they're not calling me late for lunch ...

Us transpated Irishmen have a deep love for the old sod ... it's nice to converse with a lass from the old country ...

You're all wrong, It's Gaelic with one L and an E thrown in for good measure.

Can't say anything about this poem that hasn't been said, the one thing that comes to the fore is passion, passion, passion.

Lovely stuff Colette.

Thanks a million Adams for the compliment.

Jaysus! I have to say, when I joined the site I didnt expect to see stuff of this calibre. There is some real talent. It gives you hope as an Irishman. Excellent Colettegrin

Colfaz1  You must have read the wrong poem, it's hit and miss

with me all the way.

However, I am going to claim your praise I need it. and thank you.

Colette
