Who is lying on this bench

Inert and lifeless

 

There is more than one can see

Beneath the flesh

so cool and grey

 

We can see all

And yet see nothing

Of the soul, of the mind

Wherever it may be.

Makes me wonder weather surgeons think of the patients as people or just another job ?
