“Lol : )” she texted me.

I Know!

I am the “funny man” again.

So long since,

Well,

Then.

I type “let me sleep, see you soon” and press send.

While head on the pillow and thoughts less deep,

Light heart beats sounding louder.

Perhaps,

Just maybe,

Unlike some who passed my window and I let go like Doves from the Ark.

Yet to return with their Olive leafs.

Perhaps?

She's for keeps?

At last, text delivered. I'll see her in a day or two. My eyes close to expected dreams till the morning.

And though Lovers may twist in a morning mist, I beneath the ray of a dawning sun has found that love brings revelations far beyond each day,

Or at least,

Until nights end.

Hi Richard !!!

You have described these feeling very well !!!

Love the layout and flow  it works well !!

Just one question ? With the line " I beneath the ray of a dawning sun has found that love brings revelations far beyond each day,

Or at least,"  Did you mean "have" instead of "has" ??

An enjoyable read thank you,

Regards,

Steve.

"Has". Thank you for all your kind comments. I love this website. I never had an audience for my poems like this before. I am realy lapping up the encouragement. Please be instructive too when the occasion calls for it.
