I love being a writer. What I can't stand is the paperwork.
The cruel sea.
DescriptionJust a thought, a tiny one.

The sea,
the sea,
the bruising sea
visits Whitegate
and Torquay.
Surrounds this island
and the one next door,
bullies the land
when coming ashore.
Then again
where would we be
without that ruffian
we call the sea.

Ignore Kelly, sir.
The guy's just looking for an audience for his own particular brand of arrogance.
Really dug this piece, though.
I reckon you've got the corner on the malevolent nature of the sea, with your use of words like "bruising" and "bullies".
Evocative stuff, boss.
