The settlement of the Boston Mountains of the Arkansas Ozarks began in 1828 when the Cherokee were sent west to Indian Territory. This is the story of many of those communities, now lost and almost forgotten, and the people who settled there. It is not a history book, but a book about those who lived our history. Contains 137 photos, maps and illustrations.
