Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.
Clarion Writers' Workshop - for Fantasy and Science Fiction
| |
The Clarion Writers' Workshop was founded in 1968 by Robin Scott Wilson at Clarion State College in Pennsylvania, with such illustrious teachers as Damon Knight and Kate Wilhelm in early attendance. Since 2006, the Clarion Writers Workshop has been based in the University of California, San Diego. The workshop is an annual event.
Clarion is a residential workshop, facilitating a small group of students, each of whom usually have some previous writing experience, though publication is not essential. The main focus of the workshop is the short story, but aspects of novel writing are not excluded.
See the About Clarion page for more information, and the Clarion Writers' Workshop on Wikipedia.
