Barbara,

Kate got in touch, power just up. The house is intact; it's all a mess but they've been lucky.

David and Esmerelda,

so happy for you being shortlisted. Wonderful news, you are both such fine

writers:)))) Maire

p.s. David, I am heading to Madrid to Sarah next week 23 Feb. - she loves it.... there so no need to worry about her. She has made buckets of friends in the school and outside and is having a ball. I skype with her every night and she is alive with life, it was a great decision for her to go there. I gave her your number in an emergency so thank you but she has found her feet already - life in Madrid is very good.

Fair play, Maire; I'm delighted for her.

Before you go send me a private email and I'll send you some of my favourite places for tapas and one of the best value restaurants in Christendom, very close to the Prado museum and Atocha train/metro station.

Good luck,

David
