Site update

We at Writing4all have been working on many worthwhile developments to
enhance the site for all of our members. We have been tightening our
anti-spam security, improving the writings/readings interface, and fixing
all the little bugs that have affected the site over the last few months.

During the process of 'switching on' these enhancements we unfortunately
lost data posted between the period of December 15th to January 16th.
Despite our best efforts we have not been able to recover this data and for
this we apologise sincerely to all of our members.

A new back-up system has been installed, ensuring that data is now
auto-saved daily and that a problem like this should never arise again.

As a free-to-use, advertising-free site, our members are the lifeblood of
Writing4all - and our success is measured not by earnings made on the site
(there are none) but by user-satisfaction, and by the site's ability to
support our members in their writing. To those of you who have lost work
during the period indicated we want to hold our hands up and say sorry. To
those of you frustrated by the seemingly slow progress of the site's
development, we want to say sorry too.

We realise there comes a time when sorry isn't enough, and actions are
required. To this end, we will forge on with the necessary work and do our
best to ensure you have a site worthy of your own wonderful writing.
