I never want to see anyone, and I never want to go anywhere or do anything. I just want to write.
Big Issue Short Story Competition
Ireland’s Big Issue is running a short story competition which its editors hope will help them find the new Roddy Doyle or Maeve Binchy.
Submissions must be between 1,500 and 1,700 words and should be sent – along with a €10 cheque made payable to Ireland’s Big Issue – to Ireland’s Big Issue Short Story Competition 2011, The Basement, 30 Gardiner Place, Dublin 1, Ireland.
The deadline for submissions is November 1st, 2011.
The winning story will be published in The Big Issue and further prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up.
Good luck!
